Container for Art, Container for Ideas.

Container will be a new creative space in the city of Aberdeen, inviting and introducing the best of international and national art to the city.

Initially this proposal will involve re-using two old shipping containers, and transforming them into a simple but elegant contemporary conversion. One empty container will provide the main gallery space, while a second container will function as a shop selling editions, books and carefully selected items by leading international artists and designers.

As a non-profit-based initiative, Container will be ideally located within an industrial setting. It will stand as an example of sustainable and affordable urban regeneration in a historic location.

Considerations and negotiations with different parties are currently in progress to make the project possible in a most suitable form. Any further updates will be announced when appropriate.
