August Swirl: A Night of Arts, Palestinian Food, Music and Solidarity

You are warmly invited to the reopening of We Move As A Murmuration with an evening in collaboration with Highland – Palestine with delicious food and wonderful live music to raise funds for Gaza. Saturday 3rd August at Timespan in Helmsdale. All welcome.

August Swirl
The first season of the exhibition We Move As A Murmuration comes to an end, but the show, following the migratory patterns and movements of birds, will swirl into a new design. Expect a renewed space with new artworks and layouts. This new setup will feature new pieces, including a sculpture commissioned to Palestinian artist Khaled Jarrar, produced at Black Isle Bronze. Join us for the reopening with an introduction by curators Giulia Gregnanin and Naoko Mabon.

6-7pm
Palestinian Food
Our Friends of Timespan will prepare traditional Palestinian dishes, available at Timespan’s River Cafe. We will also hold a raffle with exciting prizes.

7pm
Solidarity Sounds: Concert for Palestine
The evening continues with Solidarity Sounds a concert in partnership with Highland-Palestine, featuring performances by Mary Ann Kennedy, Ruby Warblers, and local musicians.

Entry is by a minimum donation of £15 and comprises food and music, with all proceeds supporting the relief organisations UNRWA, MAP, DELIA ARTS
