Join us for the second conversation event of Collective Cares, a new peer-led curatorial initiative for contemporary arts in Zambia. In this event, Collective Cares co-leads Luyando Muleya and Naoko Mabon will meet Livingstone-based artist Mutemwa Mukelebai. We will activate the latest Studio Visit to Ba Mutemwa made by Luyando, and discuss our reflections.

In Collective Cares, we have been trying to create a hybrid – physical and digital – space for conversation, research, and collaboration. Instagram Live is one platform to test and nurture – like Ba Mutemwa’s ’ikasuwa’ microscope that he constructed using discarded pipe and old television screen, we use what we have and see where we could go based on such basic conditions.
